Selected LAMILUX rooflight systems are available with fire-rated specifications, with solutions tailored to suit individual project requirements and fire strategies. In addition, many LAMILUX rooflights achieve BROOF(t4) classification under EN 13501-5 testing, providing the highest classification for external fire performance. |
Do LAMILUX rooflights come pre-assembled? Yes. A large range of standard sizes across the LAMILUX rooflight range are supplied pre-assembled to their upstands to support efficient and straightforward on-site installation, helping to reduce installation time and simplify the fitting process for roofing contractors. For non-standard sizes, LAMILUX rooflights can also be supplied with a fitting adapter designed to simplify installation onto site-supplied upstands. |
How easy is it to install a LAMILUX rooflight pre-assembled to its GRP upstand? LAMILUX rooflights supplied pre-assembled to the GRP upstand are designed for a simple and efficient installation process. The rooflight is positioned directly over the roof opening, with fixings evenly spaced at 300mm centres starting from one point around the upstand. Once installed, waterproofing should be completed by an approved roofer. We still recommend referring to the installation guide for fixing details suitable for the project substructure, along with other useful installation recommendations and best practice guidance. |
